Professional Competencies and Education

The IT in Society course is an example of an Open-Ended Group Project based course with an international collaboration with a real client. There are several aspects of development of professional competencies, such as critical thinking, ability to work in heterogeneous groups, communication, and not least intercultural competence. There are many aspects to consider and we have investigated some in our subject didactic research over the years.

For more information on the topic please refer to the following thesis “Developing and Assessing Professional Competencies: a Pipe Dream?: Experiences from an Open-Ended Group Project Learning Environment” (Online).
